"Getting Intentional About Inclusion: at Work and in Your Community"
Join us Tuesday, March 19th from 5:30 PM to 7 PM for a community networking event centered around Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Access.
Chanté Thurmond, D&I Talent Consultant, will be hosting an inclusive networking event designed open to professionals of all backgrounds. She will share D&I workplace trends, best practices and inclusive terminology that will empower participants to have more inclusive conversations at work, home and in our respective communities.
Chanté Thurmond (she/her) is a D&I Talent Consultant who partners with emerging tech startups, digital health innovation companies, and VC/PE firms throughout the United States helping them attract & retain top talent.
Chanté’s interests are full-bodied, eclectic and reflective of her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2018 she founded The Darkest Horse (TDH), a digital media production company on a mission to spotlight underrepresented leaders in tech who are beating the odds. TDH produces content that explores the intersections of Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion; The Future of Work; Emerging Technology and Human Potential.
In addition, she serves as a consultant and trusted advisor to a handful of small businesses and early-stage startups such as 818 Coworking, Symba, Scarleteen and Contributing Writer at Futurithmic, a new digital publication powered by NOKIA that explores the implications of emerging tech.
Her background encompasses Organizational Development, Social Innovation, Health & Well-being, and Community Engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mount Mercy University and a M.A. from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. Chanté is a proud mother of twins and Midwest native who now considers Evanston & Skokie home.
